Abstract

Human beings have the ability to improve their mental state, but to achieve this there are a number of processes through which they must go. Both the teacher and the student must be aware that in order to achieve an optimal educational process they must pay attention to both their environment and their interior. This essay shows the importance of the role of self-regulation in student learning, as well as the close relationship of this concept with metacognition as its main source and how both can improve learning processes and performance
