Perception of the Benefit of Global Quality Tools for Business Process Improvement

The objective of this research is to identify the main quality instruments defined at the international level, and subsequently to validate the perception of specialists in the field of quality with respect to the benefit of these instruments in the improvement of business processes. An instrument was designed to present the main quality tools, techniques and methodologies that can be used in manufacturing, service, and commercial companies. The instrument
was applied to academic specialists in the topic of quality, taking as a sample those who integrate the Faculty of Business and Technologies and the Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Ixtaczoquitlán Campus of the Universidad Veracruzana. The main result of this study indicates that the technique to be used should be focused on the size of each of the companies, also taking into consideration the line of business. Based on this information, it presents a proposal that serves as a guide for business decision makers to know which techniques, tools, or methodology they can apply in their activities to improve their processes.
