In this work, philosophical analysis and scientific knowledge are linked. Recognized interpretations of the philosophy of education that studies its purposes are proposed, in particular, the analysis of the notion of F. Salmerón about the educated man and the inherent critical function that sustains it, all applied to the disciplinary field of Public Finance. The lack of this perspective translates into deficiencies, confusions and theoretical-methodological difficulties in the training of the professional who needs this knowledge whose object of study results from the confluence of many other disciplines, and whose scientific discourse permanently refers to values. The financial activity of the State, that is, the actions of collection and application of public resources respond in the first instance to a multiplicity of equity criteria whose assessment comes from the critical awareness that education instills through scientific discourses.Metrics
