One of the most visited places in the world is undoubtedly La Alhambra, a palatial fortress in the city of Granda, Spain. It is a set of subtle and delicate buildings where nature, art, algebra, arithmetic, geometry, religion, literature, philosophy, architecture and design are exposed simultaneously creating a vision - and feeling – overall. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it has competed with the Taj Mahal for being the seventh wonder of the world. A reflection of a cultured people, describing the Alhambra is not easy, but words such as exquisiteness, proportion or harmony could well be used on the aesthetic side, where we also appreciate that almost all branches of science are at the service of beauty
