Blade prototype for a vertical type wind turbine.

The main objective of this work is to design a prototype of blades, Savonius type, in order to capture the kinetic wind’s energy and then to transfer it to some means of generation. This kind of wind’s turbine has the feature of being able to be used at low speeds of wind, they are also ideal for urban environment with places where there is gusts and turbulence. All this relevant research of the main parameter was made, in order to make it more efficient for Xalapa city, to verify it, this was simulated in solidworks and then it was built the prototype which determined a connection speed of 1 m/s, acceptable for an urban environment *Palabras claves: Aerogenerador, Aerogenerador vertical, Savonius, Viento, solidworks.
