As an essay, the author explores the concept, origin and nature of hermeneutics (or science of interpretation), in general, and legal hermeneutics (or legal interpretation), in particular, as a key tool in the task of interpreting and making sense to the law. Also discusses some problems of that task and proposes some possible solutions.
