Challenges of Artistic Education in the 21st Century in Mexico

This article presents a reflexive analysis about the current situation of the artistic education in a basic teaching level in Mexico; according to the mission of the artistic education in the XXI century found in the oficial documents posed in the previous article “The artistic education in the XXI century”. Such analysis is held in three different sections: artistic education in the Mexican Education System; the profesional formation of the artistic education teacher in México and the needs of the artistic education scholastics in Mexico. Finally the article includes a proposal on how to solve the analyzed problems focusing in the basic teaching level.
