In this article the basic adult education is posited as a challenge nowadays, to state that it takes two determinations, first the social context in which we live and on the other hand the lack of specific teachings in attention to this population. Starting from these bases and depending on the importance that education is seen as a pillar for social development, we conclude that is a challenge in academic training which must be cared at the beginning of Andragogy’s principles, considering the student interests and needs and in this way assist cultural competencies demanded by society.
