Technology and Innovation in the Restaurant Industry

This article details the current situation of the Restaurant Industry, starting with the socioeconomic context of the type of companies existing in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz; Subsequently, the factors that influence the business development of these businesses are discussed, as well as the growth trend that has occurred in the last decade and the challenges that restaurants in Mexico have faced. Lastly, the importance of the use of technologies and its impact on innovation as an added value in the competitiveness of the restaurant sector at national and international level are explored.
