Historical Context of a New Model of Electoral Federalism

The progressive federalism perspective in Mexico signs to an emergent electoral power, it requires a detailed historical and sociological analysis, which emphasizes the origin belong. The relevant points of this study are the real and formal sources of the legal Mexican system and this influence in the federal constitution act at 1823, which bases the first republic with some effects in the legal and political organization in the first constitutional federal order. In addition, this analysis contains a detailed revisión of the government of Santa Anna and the republic central that stablished the
bases of the electoral power. It ends with conclusions of the federalism and the power object of this article.
