Use of artificial intelligence in repetitive processes in public administration for the benefit of vulnerable groups

Public administration in Mexico must face the challenges of modernization derived from various technological developments to avoid inefficiencies in the management and delivery of services to the population. Currently, there is a demand for government services from many sectors of the population, and there are groups that have certain characteristics that would help them complete procedures and/or services without having to physically go to a department to request support services. Also, for workers, having the application offered by technology would help them be more efficient in their work. This research focuses on the Executive Secretariat of the Comprehensive Protection System for Girls and Boys of a Municipality in the State of Veracruz, whose psychology area handles a high volume of data and repetitive administrative processes, which represents a considerable workload for its staff. The study seeks to demonstrate that the appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can obtain benefits for both the vulnerable population and workers by reducing the administrative burden within the area, based on a needs assessment and the evaluation of the factors that influence its adoption. The general objective was: To carry out a diagnosis on the importance of artificial intelligence that optimizes repetitive processes in public administration for the benefit of vulnerable groups.
