This case study evaluated the effects of a brief cognitive-behavioral intervention on depression, anxiety, and adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) in a person living with HIV. A single-case experimental design was used, with pre-test, post-test, and six-month follow-up measurements. The intervention included psychoeducation, cognitive restructuring, and problem-solving training. Results showed significant improvement in ART adherence and clinical reductions in affective symptoms. Although a slight rebound in anxiety and depression was observed at follow-up, levels remained below the severe range. Findings support the utility of brief CBT interventions to improve mental health and ART adherence among people living with HIV.
