The changes that are taking place today in the business environment, characterized by the globalization of the economy, and the continuous introduction of new technologies in the production and administration processes in organizations, have, in turn, caused changes in internal structures from the same. This document presents the investigation where the labor competencies that the operator of the production area of an industrial company must have are identified, which are defined as necessary to evaluate the impact that these have on the manufacture of non-compliant product. For this research, some of those indicated in the Martha Alicia Alles Model and those indicated in the official documents of the organization, which are part of the Quality Manual, documented under the ISO 9001 certification, were considered as competencies to be evaluated: 2008. A questionnaire was designed and will be applied to identify significant differences in the level of labor competencies of the personnel involved in the production process.
