This paper begins with the concept of second round, then the Latin American countries with presidential regimes that have carried out the second round with good results are reported, it is also spoken in the Mexican Republic the State of San Luis Potosi had the experience to implement the second round taking place successfully, the feasibility of the second round of the presidential election, at this point figures the last four presidential elections to be held in Mexico in base give it intends mentioned the second round, finally the advantages and disadvantages of the second round in Mexico are mentioned.
