Abstract

Plants have been a valuable nutritional, therapeutic and medicinal resource throughout the history of man. Marihuana has been used for millennia to relieve pain. Currently, it is the most popular illegal drug in the world, and has been proposed as a new pharmacological target that can treat conditions ranging from chronic pain to cancer, all backed by the work of researchers around the world.
