Efecto de una intervención cognitivo-conductual sobre depresión, ansiedad y adherencia al TAR en un paciente con VIH: estudio de caso

Resumen

Este estudio de caso evaluó los efectos de una intervención cognitivo-conductual breve sobre los niveles de depresión, ansiedad y adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral (TAR) en una persona que vive con VIH. Se utilizó un diseño experimental de caso único con mediciones pre, post y seguimiento a seis meses. La intervención incluyó psicoeducación, reestructuración cognitiva y entrenamiento en solución de problemas. Se observaron mejoras significativas en los niveles de adherencia al TAR, así como una reducción clínica en los síntomas afectivos. Aunque hubo un leve repunte de ansiedad y depresión en el seguimiento, los puntajes se mantuvieron por debajo del nivel severo. Los hallazgos respaldan la utilidad de la TCC breve para mejorar la salud mental y la adherencia al tratamiento en personas que viven con VIH.
